Description:

R_363417 – Solution Expansion and Data Partnership Leader (DCX)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Digital Client Experience (DCX) team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Marsh is seeking a (senior) leader to drive the expansion of data, insight, and solution capabilities across a growing DCX product portfolio. This role will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic opportunities that strengthen product propositions through internal capability development, external partnerships, and cross-business collaboration.

Sitting at the intersection of product, data, commercial strategy, and stakeholder engagement, this individual will work closely with product leaders, data and strategy teams, and business sponsors to identify gaps in data, analytics, and insight required to support growth. They will determine the most effective route to address those needs, including internal development, leveraging existing enterprise capabilities, or establishing third-party relationships.

Where external partnerships are required, the role will lead commercial evaluation and negotiation, shaping structures that align to Marsh’s strategic and financial objectives, with a focus on flexibility, value realization, and disciplined investment. The role will also help identify and qualify new areas of business engagement, supporting leaders through a structured process to define opportunity, readiness, sponsorship, and value.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, organisational influence, and the ability to convert complex opportunities into practical execution.

We will count on you to:

  • Help shape a clear, scalable approach to how solution expansion opportunities are identified, assessed, and executed across the business
  • Lead the identification and development of opportunities to expand solution capabilities through new data, insight, analytics, and partnership models.
  • Work with product and business leaders to understand product vision, growth priorities, and capability gaps.
  • Develop clear options, business cases, and recommendations that balance strategic fit, speed to value, scalability, and commercial return.
  • Identify, assess, and develop relationships with third-party providers of data, analytics, technology, and insight capabilities.
  • Lead strategic and commercial evaluation of external opportunities, including value proposition, capability fit, implementation requirements, and associated risks.
  • Structure and negotiate partnership arrangements in collaboration with leadership and relevant functional teams.
  • Partner with product, data, technology, and strategy teams to support onboarding and integration of newly sourced capabilities.
  • Help ensure external data and insight solutions can be operationalised effectively across products and platforms.
  • Identify priority areas across the organization where expanded solution capabilities may create strategic and commercial value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while maintaining clear boundaries around decision rights and accountability.
  • Prepare high-quality materials and recommendations for leadership forums and governance bodies.
  • Provide senior input into portfolio prioritisation, investment decisions, and partnership strategy.

What you need to have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry
  • Proven experience of effective relationship development and management
  • Project management skills to work with numerous parties for a successful outcome

What makes you stand out?

  • Ability to assess and prioritise propositions from multiple areas of a business
  • Outstanding negotiation skills
  • Working with Senior Management and managing expectations.
