Quality Engineer
Miskin
up to £42,000 depending on experience
A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Engineer working within the Additive Manufacturing Group. The successful candidate will be required to provide Quality support across the full range of AM Machines and operations.
Responsibilities
Provide Quality Support for key activities including - Customer Complaints / Internal CCAR Reporting / Risk Management activities / Manufacturing support activities
Provide Quality support to operations team, design and purchasing teams for the resolution of quality issues reported from In field escalations and Internal Quality Concerns from GMSD division (Manufacturing Service Divisions)
Support internal Design meetings for current products engineering changes
Analyse performance from Corrective Action Systems database and identify Product reliability issues. Provide Quality data analysis for continuous improvement activities using cooperate systems
Support Quality Engineering functions with Key Performance Metrics and Supporting data, extracted from software reporting tools
Manage and control Corrective Action Systems internally and coordinate design review / product realisation meetings, to implement corrective / preventive solutions
Key requirements
Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001
3-5 years’ experience in Engineering / Manufacturing sector within a quality focused role
Minimum of HNC in Engineering discipline / Or relevant industry experience
Experience in project-controlled environments & Engineering change activities, including New Product Introduction
Understanding of Technical Reports / Drawings
Working knowledge of CAD platforms & Assembly BOMs
Excellent communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Excel and Power Bi
Working knowledge of FMEA & Risk Assessment tools
UK Driving license as some travel to with UK will be required.
Desirable requirements
Knowledge of quality tools and statistical techniques used with Six Sigma methodologies
Knowledge of Systems / Mechanical / Electrical engineering.
Auditing experience (Training Can be Given)
Six Sigma Certification (Training Can be Given)

The successful applicant will be organised, self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills. They will be a confident team player and a strong advocate for quality, able to meet strict deadlines while supporting others to do the same. The role also requires resilience under pressure and flexibility in working hours. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in a unique, multidisciplinary technology environment.
