We're currently seeking a Composites Production Supervisor to join our Manufacturing team in Coimbatore, India. In this frontline leadership role, you will lead a team responsible for the production of composite mill liner products, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality operations while driving continuous improvement across the facility.
About the role
As a Composites Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in delivering production targets while creating a strong safety culture, developing team capability and ensuring operational excellence. Reporting to the Production Composites Lead, you will oversee daily manufacturing activities, coordinate resources, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, productivity and sustainability.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys coaching teams, solving operational challenges and contributing to the growth of a world-class composites’ operation.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards while proactively identifying and addressing risks.
- Drive production performance by coordinating daily manufacturing activities, allocating resources and delivering planned production schedules.
- Apply your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, reduce scrap and improve operational efficiency across composite production processes.
- Partner with Planning, Engineering, Technology, Stores and other stakeholders to achieve production, quality and customer delivery objectives.
- Champion continuous improvement, TPM and preventive maintenance programs to maximise equipment reliability and productivity.
- Develop and coach your team through regular communication, training, performance discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
What you'll bring:
- Diploma, BE or B. Tech qualification in Rubber Technology, Polymer, Plastics, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3 to 10 years of experience in rubber compression moulding, rubber hand lining and autoclave operations.
- Experience supervising manufacturing teams in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow planning, quality systems and continuous improvement practices.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, make sound decisions and drive operational results.
- Experience working with safety, environmental and ISO management systems.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and production reporting.
Note: Applicants must have the legal right to work in India, as Bradken is unable to provide visa or work permit sponsorship for this role. This is an onsite position based at our Coimbatore Foundry.
