JOB TITLE: Radiologic Technologist Multi Modal
STATUS: Per Diem
LOCATION: Gouverneur Hospital - 77 West Barney Street Gouverneur, NY 13642
DEPARTMENT: Medical Imaging
SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings, M-F, 8hr variable shifts, weekend and on call requirement
SUMMARY
Performs diagnostic radiological procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards as established by the radiologist, governing and professional bodies. Assists radiologist in fluoroscopy and special procedure examinations. Performs administrative duties as set forth by policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
( 35%) Performs Radiology, CT’s and/or mammography/bone density procedures utilizing the principles and knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and Radiologic techniques.
(25%) Assists radiologist in the performance of Radiology interventional procedures and provides appropriate images for interpretation.
(15%) Follows all regulatory and organizational guidelines for patient/staff screening and Radiology safety and provides Radiologic safety education to anyone who may have contact with the Radiologic equipment.
(15%) Follows organizational standards to include but not limited to patient identification, patient education, consents, and order verification and infection control.
(10%) Participates in all QA/QC procedures as designated and maintains standards of these programs. This includes processes involving Radiologic equipment, image quality, documentation and Radiologic safety
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program,
BLS within 3 months of hire.
New York State Department of Health Licensure,
Registered with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

PAY RANGE:
$34.70 - $50.46The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
