POSITION SUMMARY:
The Slot Technician II is a senior-level technical position for advanced troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of slot machines, gaming systems, and related casino technology. This role serves as a technical resource for the Slot Operations Department, assist with complex diagnostics, support regulatory compliance, and provide leadership and mentorship to Slot Technician I team members. This role is responsible for providing attentive, cheerful, courteous, and professional customer service to internal and external customers striving to always exceed their expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Diagnose and repair advanced hardware, software, and communication issues involving slot machines and gaming systems.
- Maintain proper documentation related to compliance with internal control standards.
- Review work orders to determine the tasks to be performed and the tools, parts, and equipment required to complete assignments.
- Coordinate and complete the installation, movement, and removal of slot machines and related equipment projects as directed.
- Ensure all slot machines are secure, and the work environment is safe and secure for all guests and team members.
- Train and mentor Slot Technician I team members on troubleshooting procedures, maintenance standards, and department practices.
- Provide technical guidance to Slot Technician I team members.

- Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments, customers, and outside vendors/service providers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 100 pounds maximum and frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds include constant standing, walking, use of hearing and near vision; frequent pushing/pulling, reaching, manual handling, use of midrange/far vision, color, field of vision, bending; occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, use of smell, depth perception, and typing. Working conditions include frequent exposure to noise and air quality and occasional exposure to weather, extreme heat/cold, wet/humidity, and vibration. Potential hazards include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, electric shock, computer use, and occasional exposure to highly exposed places, chemicals, infectious exposure, and equipment. Protective equipment/clothing needed to perform the job includes hand, eye, and other protection as needed to perform the functions of the position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years working as a Slot Technician Level I is required. Successful passing of the internal assessment test for Slot Technician Level II is required.
Certification/License: Must undergo a Criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of machine installation and configuration requirements for all brand slot machines. Mechanical and electrical aptitude required. Knowledgeable in using hand tools, hand-powered tools, soldering and electronic testing equipment required. Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This role must be able to establish and maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, and guests. Must be able to make sound decisions. Knowledge of slot machine brands and slot machine operations is required. Knowledge of casino operations is required. This role must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Knowledge of or the ability to learn to use computer programs such as Word, Excel and database software is required. Must be self-motivated. Native American preferred.
