Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration or a related field. Two (2) Years Coaching Experience at a Division I Men’s Basketball Program. Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.Position Description:
The University of Louisville Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the overall coordination and execution of the University’s Division I intercollegiate Men’s basketball program, including identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, coaching, and promoting an atmosphere of compliance within the program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coaching: Develop skills of student-athletes, assist in preparing practice plans, and implement practice plans.
Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program through strict adherence to NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations through monitoring of program activities, active involvement, and commitment to continuous rules education, timely submission of compliance-related documents, and immediate reporting of any knowledge of potential rules violations involving self or others.
Prepare scouting reports on all opponents.
Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
