Description
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Temporary Veterinary Kennel Assistant to support our hospital during a busy period. This is a temporary position lasting approximately 4–12 weeks and is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with animals and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a veterinary environment.
This role is essential in helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients while supporting the veterinary team with daily kennel operations.
- Weekday, evening, and weekend availability required
- Hours will vary based on hospital needs
- Temporary position only (4–12 week duration)
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and hospital areas
- Feeding and watering hospitalized and boarding pets
- Walking dogs and providing basic animal care
- Laundry and facility upkeep
- Monitoring patient comfort and cleanliness
- Assisting the veterinary team with routine kennel duties
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
What You'll Bring:
- Comfortable working around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Previous animal care experience is a plus but not required
