Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Imaging Representative, you will provide essential administrative support to the Imaging department, assisting with patient scheduling, updating information, and promoting patient confidentiality. Every day you will screen incoming phone calls and visitors, manage patient appointments and information, and coordinate multiple departmental projects to ensure timely completion, optimizing departmental efficiency. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong organizational and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail in scheduling and patient information, and a proactive approach to managing administrative tasks while upholding patient confidentiality.
- Registers outpatient imaging patients, enter orders, and collects copay as determined by facility.
- Receives referrals from provider offices for imaging services.
- Schedules patients for imaging.
- Greets patients and family members.
- Answers incoming calls promptly in a pleasant, helpful manner.
- Communicates with Imaging staff regarding patient arrival times, tests, and procedures.
- Prioritizes multiple tasks and deals with fluctuating volumes.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience in healthcare, customer service or administrative setting
- BLS from the American Heart Association
Preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/ICD codes
