PHARMACY TECHNICIAN II FOR THE OUTPATIENT HEART INSTITUTE
Location: Burnet Campus, 3333 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati OH 45229
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays
Pay: Starts at $23.00/hour and can go up depending on experience.
The Heart Institute is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician II that has experience with prior authorization and specialty drugs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required
1+ year of work experience as a Pharm Tech required. Preferred: 3+ years high volume IV and/or specialty drug experience
Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Orders - Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses. Non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including preparation of oral syringes from liquid dosage forms. Delivery of patient specific doses. Prepare and perform ADC replenishment. Performs outpatient phone triage. Performs insurance adjudication. Performs medication storage inspections.
Compounding - Performs Sterile compounding or non-sterile hazardous compounding.
Tech Check Tech - Under authorized program is able to check the work of another pharmacy technician.
Medication Management - Manages medication doses on the nursing unit in decentralized pharmacy operations.
Phone Triage - Performs inpatient phone triage
