Description
Amphenol Borisch Technologies is currently seeking a CNC Machinist for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Under minimal supervision, the CNC Machinist produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes machine set-ups per provided work instructions
- Performs basic machine operations including loading, unloading and de-burring completed parts
- Performs a variety of machining operations using hand tools and gauges
- Helps problem solve and troubleshoot production issues
- Reads blueprints, job orders and work instructions for specifications including dimensions and tolerances
- Performs regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on assigned machines as well as daily preventative maintenance
- Maintains and updates machine logs and other documentation
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a production environment
- Experience with Mazak and Hurco CNC machines preferred
- Experience performing set-ups and programming preferred
- Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Experience working with CNC machine feeds and speeds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
