Purpose of the role:
VP of Branch Process and Control Management is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of branch operational processes and control frameworks to deliver operation efficiency and excellence at branch or different channels under S&D. This role ensures that all branch and sales team activities are executed efficiently, consistently, and in full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. By fostering a strong control culture, the candidate drives continuous process improvement, mitigates operational risks, and supports frontline teams with guidance, training, and monitoring tools to uphold high standards of governance and service delivery.
What you will be doing:
Process Analysis and Evaluation: Assess existing branch operation workflows to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, or bottlenecks.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Follow-up with respective stakeholders to drive operational enhancement & automation.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Development: Create, update, and maintain clear and comprehensive SOPs for S&D.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to review and comment procedure on branch operation support
Change Management Support: Facilitate smooth transitions during process changes through communication and training.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all procedures meet regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks.
Operation Check: Conduct regular surprize and health-check to upkeep operational quality.
Speak Up Culture Engagement; Arrange branch exchange and speak up session to drive branch operational improvement
What we are looking for:
Degree holder with minimum 8 years’ relevant and retail banking experience, especially on branch operation and process management would be an advantage
Solid understanding on retail branch sales compliance including but not limited to customer due diligence, wealth and insurance sales process.
Strong self-motivation and able to work under pressure
Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
Ability to develop clear, structured and comprehensive procedural documents
Excellent on communication and problem-solving skills
Solid people management skill
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good command on English and Chinese
