Role summary:The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related building equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating service activities using digital tools. The position requires effective communication with facility teams and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. What you'll do:
- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems, building equipment, ductwork, and control components according to technical plans and standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
- Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely while adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders using digital tools.
- Communicate effectively with facility operators and management regarding service needs and status updates.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support multiple facility locations as required.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining HVAC systems, including ductwork and control components.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate and code-compliant installations.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control system issues affecting HVAC equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety protocols, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Competence in using digital tools for work order management, scheduling, and documentation.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and team members.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
