Director of Primary Care
Nurse-Led Federally Qualified Health Center
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Salary: $140,000–$170,000
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite with limited hybrid flexibility
Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer
The Opportunity
Riam Recruiting is partnering with a respected, nurse-led Federally Qualified Health Center to identify its next Director of Primary Care.
This leader will oversee primary care strategy, quality, provider performance, staffing, and operations across multiple locations. The role also includes approximately one to two three-hour clinical sessions per week.
The organization recently secured a $3.4 million federal health-center grant, supporting its continued growth and service to underserved Philadelphia communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead primary care services across the network.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Site Directors, and other clinical teams.
- Oversee hiring, orientation, performance management, scheduling, coverage, and provider development.
- Establish clinical, productivity, population-health, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with HRSA, FTCA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Partner with operations and finance leaders on staffing, workflows, budgets, billing, and productivity.
- Maintain a limited direct-care practice and regularly visit clinical locations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related management field
- Current Pennsylvania RN and CRNP licenses
- At least four years of healthcare leadership or management experience
- Experience working with underserved or low-income populations
- Experience leading providers or multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Strong communication, quality-improvement, and operational-management skills
- Current CPR certification
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work onsite and travel among locations
FQHC, HRSA, population-health, Medicaid, or integrated-care experience is highly valued.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is $140,000–$170,000, based on experience and qualifications.
The organization offers comprehensive benefits and participates in HRSA and Pennsylvania loan-repayment programs, subject to eligibility. Relocation or sign-on assistance may also be considered.
