JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for creating and coordinating social and physical activity programs and other miscellaneous resident related functions to achieve community goals surrounding resident retention.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Create and coordinate programs surrounding social and physical activities that may include resident functions, birthday cards, welcome parties, off-site excursions and other events, as directed. Responsible for the set-up and preparation for each event.
  • Create and produce activity announcements, newsletters and fliers for the properties as needed.
  • Create and coordinate a calendar of daily community activities consisting of social gatherings, fitness classes, educational programs, interest groups, etc.
  • May coordinate the resident volunteer program by enlisting and managing the volunteer schedule for consistent and equal participation by all who would like to participate.
  • May provide assistance as necessary with the annual Resident Survey.
  • Provide input into the development of budget(s) for properties within the portfolio as it relates to planned activities, resident retention and excursions.
  • May coordinate interview process and make recommendations for the hiring of qualified and certified instructors for on-site exercise activities. Assist and train on-site staff to host successful resident activities.
  • May be instrumental in interviewing and recommending local, licensed transportation companies to transport residents to off-site destinations and excursions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma, GED, or an employment history that demonstrates a customer service background sufficient to resolve customer complaints and issues and complete documents and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and create resident communications documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to deliver customer service, handle possible irate residents and build positive resident relationships.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and coordinating large functions and gatherings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in word processing programs for use in creating flyers and newsletters as needed.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs in order to complete required reports and documents.

  • Proficiency in using property management software.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Team members work in an office environment but may also have frequent exposure to outside elements where temperature, weather, odors, and/or landscape may be unpleasant and/or hazardous.
  • Team members must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities.
  •  Job demands may require long periods of standing
  • Job demands may require occasional heavy lifting, up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) independently and 50 pounds (22.8 kg) with assistance.
  • Flexible work schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Routine, local travel may be required may be required to various properties within the portfolio, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.

Additional Compensation:


Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
