Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) XRay Limited, you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

 

Under the direction of the health care provider, Medical Assistant – X-ray Limited is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and wellbeing of all patients. Accurately performs preliminary physicaltests. Under close supervision, responsible for operating X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment that assists radiologists and/or physicians with diagnosing and/or treating disease and/or injury.

 

-Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protects patients, self and other staff from radiation hazards.-Position patients and take X-ray of specific parts of the patients’ body as requested by the physician.-Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up andoperating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients.-Process film and check X-ray for clarity of image, retake when necessary.-Distribute X-ray to appropriate medical staff.-Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.-May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKG’s.-Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height,weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problems.-May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
• High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
• Other graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, upon hire
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire or
• Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire or
• Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire or
• National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire or
• National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire or
• Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire or
• Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire or
• Cert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
• Limited Radiologic Technologist: KY (LRAD:KY)

Preferred

• Two year medical assistant experience
