Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome substance use challenges and build healthier futures? Centerstone is seeking a compassionate and skilled Substance Use Disorder Therapist to join our team in Kirksville, Missouri.
In this role, you will provide assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and recovery support services for individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders. You'll work alongside a collaborative clinical team dedicated to empowering clients on their journey toward recovery and lasting wellness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services that support recovery, emotional wellness, and personal growth
- Conduct intake screenings, comprehensive assessments, and diagnostic evaluations to determine treatment needs and recommendations
- Develop individualized treatment plans that align with client goals, clinical best practices, and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate therapeutic groups, educational sessions, and evidence-based interventions including trauma-informed and co-occurring disorder treatment
- Support clients through crisis situations by providing timely assessment, intervention, and stabilization services
- Collaborate with medical providers, case managers, peer specialists, and other treatment team members to ensure coordinated care
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed to support positive outcomes
- Document clinical services accurately and timely in accordance with agency, accreditation, and state standards
- Participate in clinical staffing, treatment team meetings, and case consultations to ensure high-quality care
- Promote community awareness and represent the organization professionally through outreach efforts and stakeholder engagement
- Provide clinical guidance and share evidence-based practices with colleagues when appropriate
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, PLMFT, or LMFT
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches, behavioral health assessments, diagnostic practices, and treatment planning
- Experience providing counseling services to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to effectively provide services through telehealth platforms and in-person settings
- Experience working within multidisciplinary treatment teams preferred
