At Qube Cinema, technology and innovation are at our core. Our purpose is to bring every story to life—to engage, entertain, and enlighten the world. As a company with a passion for cinema, we are committed to creating a seamless world of digital cinema with innovative, robust, reliable, and cost-effective products, constantly evolving to cater to the needs of the global cinema business.
Qube is currently in the midst of deep transformation and strategic repositioning. Here, finance professionals don't just crunch numbers—they shape business strategy, drive integration, and directly influence executive decisions.
As Assistant Manager – Business Finance & Automation, your role has two parts.
1. Finance Automation: Our company runs high volumes of invoicing, posting, receipts and reconciliation every month, and the next step is to give the teams behind them better tools. We want someone who can assist in building that leverage: working with the ERP team, business finance and the CFO to design automation workflows, deploying AI where it genuinely earns its place, and measuring the result in time given back to the team, not in tools built.
2. Business Finance: The other half of the role is business finance and strategy. You will work closely along with CFO and the Business Finance & Strategy team on MIS, valuation, integration and board reporting.
You will see how decisions actually get made in a company midway through transformation and be a part of that journey.
1. Finance automation and AI deployment
- Own automation of high-volume finance processes.
- Assist in deploying AI where it does real work: document extraction on supplier invoices, matching and exception handling on reconciliations, first-cut narrative on MIS, and more.
- Work with the ERP team to centralise processing that may be scattered across locations and functions today, so the automation reaches the branches rather than stopping at head office.
- Assist in building the monthly MIS and the dashboards that go to the board and to investors. Build the extraction logic that automates them, and turn data into a story about what happened and what it means.
- Partner with business lines on performance, pricing and unit economics.
- Bring commercial insight on business performance and investment returns, not just variance tables.
- Support the integration of finance processes, systems and controls across newly acquired businesses.
- Help surface the hidden risks and the value drivers that only become visible once a business is inside the tent.
- Build and maintain valuation models, DCF, multiples and scenario analysis, for internal growth initiatives and for acquisition targets.
- Support financial due diligence on live transactions, including working capital analysis and post-deal planning. You will assist experienced people here and take more of it on as you prove out.
- Contribute to cross-border structuring and international taxation work as it arises.
- Chartered Accountant, 0 to 2 years. Fresh qualifiers are genuinely welcome.
- Evidence that you have build things - A model, a macro, a Python script, a Power Query pipeline, a dashboard or automation at articleship. Anything you made that removed work for someone else. Even hobby projects are welcome.
- Exceptional Excel and financial modelling. Power BI, SQL, Python or Power Query is a strong plus. Practical exposure to LLM tooling is a plus.
- Exposure to valuation, diligence or strategic finance during articleship or audits is a plus.
- Real business curiosity.
- Operates with urgency, clarity and independence.
- Quantitative aptitude and a good memory for numbers definitely helps.
