Protection Specialist
KIVON | Athens | Full-Time
About the Role
KIVON is looking for an experienced Senior Cybersecurity & Digital Brand Protection
Specialist to help protect the websites, digital assets and online presence of our clients.
This is not a traditional IT support or SOC monitoring role.
You will work across multiple client environments, proactively identifying potential security
risks, website vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, brand impersonation and other digital
threats before they become serious business problems.
You will also work closely with an experienced external cybersecurity specialist who
currently supports this area and will provide hands-on training on our existing
methodologies, tools and processes.
Over time, you will take increasing ownership of our Cybersecurity & Digital Brand
Protection services, becoming a trusted security point of contact for KIVON and its
clients.
What You'll Own
Website & Cybersecurity Protection
Perform regular security reviews and monitoring of client websites and digital
assets.
Identify vulnerabilities, security misconfigurations, exposed services and other
potential attack vectors.
Monitor for signs of compromise, malware, unauthorized changes or suspicious
activity.
Review domains, DNS, SSL/TLS configurations and other web infrastructure from a
security perspective.
Assess findings, determine their severity and recommend appropriate remediation
actions.
Support incident investigation and response when suspicious activity or potential
security breaches are identified.
Work with client technical teams, developers and external partners to ensure
security issues are properly addressed.Digital Brand Protection
Monitor for fake or copycat websites, phishing pages, domain impersonation
and typosquatting.
Identify unauthorized use or imitation of client brands and digital assets.
Investigate suspicious domains, websites and online activity associated with
potential brand abuse.
Help coordinate appropriate escalation and remediation when threats are identified.
Continuously improve the way we detect and monitor emerging digital threats
against our clients.
Security Assessment & Reporting
Conduct periodic vulnerability and security assessments across client
environments.
Translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prepare concise security reports outlining risks, priorities and recommended
actions.
Maintain appropriate documentation of assessments, incidents and remediation
activities.
Help develop repeatable security monitoring standards, checklists and processes
across our client portfolio.
What We're Looking For
Approximately 4+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, security
engineering, vulnerability management, web application security or a closely related
field.
Strong understanding of web security principles and common web
vulnerabilities, including OWASP-related risks.
Practical experience with vulnerability assessment and security monitoring tools.
Good understanding of domains, DNS, SSL/TLS, web infrastructure and common
attack vectors.
Ability to investigate suspicious activity and distinguish meaningful security risks
from false positives.
Understanding of phishing, domain abuse, impersonation and other forms of online
fraud or brand misuse. Ability to communicate security findings clearly to developers, management and
clients.
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying
risks.
Professional working proficiency in English.

Security automation and scripting
Relevant cybersecurity certifications are welcome but practical experience and
judgement matter more than certificates alone.

This position involves access to sensitive client information and security-related data.
A high level of integrity, discretion and professional responsibility is therefore
essential. The successful candidate will be expected to comply with strict confidentiality
and information-security requirements and may be subject to appropriate background
screening as permitted by applicable law.
