Incident Handler

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently recruiting for an Incident Hander - Intermediate Level

• The Incident Handler will independently manage the full lifecycle of cybersecurity incidents and evaluates complex network events to protect the Department of War (DOW) information network. Utilizing advanced technical expertise, this role identifies and neutralizes sophisticated threats, conducts in-depth diagnostic assessments, and directs incident resolution efforts.
• The analyst serves as a technical leader by providing mentorship to associate-level staff, performing quality assurance reviews of team output, and refining defensive playbooks to ensure maximum operational security and mission success.

Qualifications

• 6 years w/o BS/BA, 2 years w/BS/BA, 0 years w/Masters OR One of the following:

  A-531-0451, Cyber Defense Incident Responder (Intermediate) Playlist OR CEH(P), ECIH, GRID, RCCE Level 1, CBROPS, CCSP, CEH, Cloud+, FITSP-O, GCED, GCIH, GSEC, PenTest+, Security+

• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
