This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of office and field work and is eager to build a career in environmental due diligence, site assessment, and remediation. Whether you're just finishing your degree or bring a few years of experience, you'll have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully — supporting projects throughout the region.
Recent graduates will receive structured training and close mentorship to develop these skills, while candidates with prior experience will find opportunities to take on greater responsibility from day one.
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field
- Familiarity with ASTM Phase I ESA standards, through coursework, internships, or professional experience
- An interest in (or experience with) site reconnaissance, field sampling, and preparing technical reports
- Ability — or eagerness to learn — to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines
- Knowledge or experience with field methods such as soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion assessment
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking when evaluating analytical data or making field decisions
- A desire to contribute to a growing office and collaborate across disciplines
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
- Willingness for periodic overnight travel (predominantly in the Southeast) for fieldwork
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting and preparing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Performing site reconnaissance and regulatory review
- Coordinating and supporting Phase II investigations
- Collecting soil, groundwater, vapor, and indoor air samples
- Assisting with remediation oversight and performance monitoring
- Interpreting field and laboratory data
- Preparing technical reports, proposals, and client deliverables
Responsibilities will be scaled to your experience level, with additional support and training provided for those newer to the field.
Why Join H&H Greenville?

- Gain exposure to both due diligence and technical remediation projects
- Work directly with and learn from experienced project managers and senior leadership at H&H
- Benefit from structured training, mentorship, and career development
