Description
As an HSSQE Technical Advisor, you will provide specialist Health, Safety, Security, Quality and Environmental (HSSQE) expertise to support site operations and help ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and legislation. You will work closely with operational teams, contractors, and stakeholders across the business to strengthen safety performance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities
Support the execution and monitoring of the business unit HSE strategy and related improvement initiatives.
Provide day-to-day HSSQE guidance and technical advice to operational teams, ensuring standards, policies, and procedures are understood and applied.
Identify high-risk activities and support the prioritization and implementation of risk mitigation actions.
Monitor the quality and availability of risk assessments and safe working procedures provided by contractors and vendors.
Participate in incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions to ensure effective risk controls are implemented.
Support assurance activities to verify compliance with legal requirements, business standards, and site HSSQE expectations.
Collaborate across functions to strengthen risk management programs, enhance HSE culture, and drive continuous improvement.
Support the development and delivery of HSE training, coaching, audits, inspections, and performance monitoring activities.
Assist teams in the effective use of incident reporting systems and maintain high-quality HSSQE data management.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote safe, compliant, and sustainable operations.
What We Are Looking For
Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset—curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of three years of HSE experience at an advisory level with demonstrated achievement of business objectives.
Professional HSE qualification such as the NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
Membership, or progression toward membership, of a relevant professional body such as IOSH, CIWEM, IEMA, or CIWM.
Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to support decision-making across the business.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development within the HSE field.
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to deliver guidance, coaching, and training effectively.
Spanish is mandatory.
