The Project Manager is responsible for managing customer projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, this role coordinates internal teams, manages project finances, mitigates risks, and drives customer satisfaction while applying RWS tools, technologies, and best practices. The role is responsible for project planning, financial management, customer satisfaction, risk management, and collaboration with internal teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

 

• Project Delivery & Customer Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers for all project-related activities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Set up and manage end-to-end project workflows using RWS tools, technologies, and best practice methodologies.
  • Prepare accurate project quotes, schedules, and resource plans that align with customer requirements.
  • Clearly communicate project requirements to internal production teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and consistently deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support onboarding of new customers and guide them through RWS solutions, workflows, and processes.
  • Participate in customer meetings, provide project updates, and ensure follow-up actions are completed on time.

   

  Financial & Commercial Management

  • Ensure effective financial management across projects and programs.
  • Monitor project budgets, profitability, and work-in-progress (WIP).
  • Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) and sales orders (SOs).
  • Ensure timely customer invoicing and support debt collection activities.
  • Prepare accurate budget forecasts and financial submissions.
  • Deliver projects in line with agreed margin and profitability targets.

   

  Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify project risks, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Proactively manage issues and escalate concerns when appropriate.
  • Implement mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery.

   

  Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including:
  • Budgets
  • Version control
  • Purchase orders
  • Invoicing records
  • Project archives
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, quality processes, and internal governance requirements.
  • Follow established project management methodologies and operational procedures.

   

  Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities and resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying best practices and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate utilization and capacity management data is maintained within relevant systems and tools.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.

   

  Operational Excellence

  • Adhere to company processes, systems, and reporting requirements.
  • Support data accuracy for operational planning and decision-making.
  • Promote efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across customer accounts and internal operations.

   

  People Development

  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues and junior team members.
  • Support mentoring, shadowing, and on-the-job learning initiatives.
  • Help identify training needs within the team.
  • Take ownership of personal development and actively participate in performance and career development discussions.

   

  Required Knowledge & Understanding

  • Strong understanding of:
  • Project Management principles
  • Risk Management
  • ISO standards and compliance requirements
  • Customer service and account management practices
  • Understanding of matrix organizations and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of customer industries, business objectives, organizational structures, and stakeholder management.

  • Ability to explain complex technical or linguistic concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Languages, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of customer-facing project management experience in a similar or related industry.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, and customer relationships.
  • Certified user of RWS tools and technologies (preferred).
