Site Lead

What this job involves:

As a Site Lead at JLL, you'll serve as the strategic leader and primary point of contact for a critical client facility, orchestrating all aspects of site operations to deliver exceptional workplace experiences. You'll lead an integrated facilities team while building trusted relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across maintenance, vendor management, safety compliance, and budget oversight. This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance operational excellence with strategic thinking, translating client objectives into actionable plans while fostering a culture where every team member is empowered to thrive. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees — and as Site Lead, you'll be at the forefront of this mission, driving innovation in facility management while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery. You'll navigate complex stakeholder environments, make critical decisions that impact facility performance, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance both operational efficiency and the occupant experience.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Serve as the primary client liaison, building strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and translating their business objectives into facility management solutions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop an on-site facilities team, creating an environment where collaboration thrives and each team member can advance their career
  • Oversee all facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and building automation, ensuring optimal performance and minimal disruption
  • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts, conducting performance reviews and ensuring all work meets quality standards and budget parameters
  • Drive financial accountability by developing and managing site budgets, tracking expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing regular financial reporting
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive safety and compliance programs, conducting regular audits and ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Lead emergency response coordination and business continuity planning, serving as the escalation point for critical facility issues
  • Champion sustainability initiatives and workplace innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance building performance and occupant satisfaction
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure asset longevity and reliability

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in facility management or property operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex facility operations including mechanical systems, building automation, and vendor coordination
  • Proven track record of budget development and financial management for facility operations
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental compliance requirements
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships across all organizational levels
  • Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and facility management software platforms
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between multiple sites as needed

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional certification such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facility Management Professional), or PE (Professional Engineer)
  • Experience managing facilities in a corporate office, life sciences, technology, or healthcare environment
  • Background in sustainability initiatives including LEED, ENERGY STAR, or similar green building programs
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related discipline)
  • Experience with capital project planning, management, and execution
  • Familiarity with integrated workplace management systems (IWMS) and IoT building technologies
  • Demonstrated success in change management and process improvement initiatives
