Heartline Staffing is recruiting Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 26-week correctional healthcare assignment in Waymart, Pennsylvania. Two openings are available on the 10:00 PM–6:30 AM night shift.

Travel Pay Package

• $2,254 gross weekly
• 40 hours per week

Assignment Details

• 26-week contract
• Correctional healthcare setting
• Night shift: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
• 5x8 schedule
• 40 hours per week
• 2 openings

What You Will Do

• Provide direct nursing care within the RN scope of practice
• Assess and monitor patient health and changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Provide routine and urgent nursing care as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communicate changes in patient condition to appropriate healthcare team members
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
• Follow established clinical, safety, security and facility procedures
• Provide professional patient care within a secure correctional environment

Correctional healthcare requires nurses who can remain professional, adaptable and focused while providing appropriate care within a secure environment. Candidates must be prepared to follow both healthcare and facility security procedures throughout the assignment.

Requirements

• Current, active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Strong nursing assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide routine and urgent nursing care within the RN scope of practice
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a secure correctional environment
• Must be able to work the 10:00 PM–6:30 AM night shift
• Must meet applicable Commonwealth and correctional facility requirements prior to placement

Preferred: Previous correctional, acute care, psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience.
