Little Words Project is opening a brand-new store on King Street in Charleston, SC and we’re looking for a Store Manager to help bring it to life!

This is an exciting opportunity to build a team, shape the store culture, drive sales, and create meaningful experiences for our guests from day one. If you’re a people-focused leader who loves retail, community, and a fast-paced environment, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do

• Lead, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing store team.
• Create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive store culture.
• Drive sales and guest engagement through exceptional service, clienteling, and CRM strategies.
• Monitor key sales metrics, including conversion, UPT, and AOV, and coach the team to achieve goals.
• Bring the Little Words Project brand to life through visual merchandising, product launches, events, and community activations.
• Oversee inventory, replenishment, POS, cash handling, opening/closing, and other daily store operations.
• Lead bead bar appointments, custom orders, parties, and special guest experiences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and on-brand store.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while adapting to the needs of a new and growing location.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail management experience.
• Experience hiring, scheduling, coaching, and developing employees.
• Strong sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• A passion for kindness, positivity, community, and creating meaningful guest experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience opening a new retail store or launching a new location.
• Experience with CRM/clienteling tools; Endear experience is a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite or other inventory/ERP systems.
• Background in specialty retail, fashion, accessories, jewelry, or lifestyle brands.
• Experience with visual merchandising, events, community partnerships, or social media.
