Position Summary
The Local HR Manager /HR Country Leader serves as the primary Human Resources partner for T&O Thailand manufacturing site, providing both strategic HR leadership and hands-on operational support while driving consistency and harmonization of HR operations in country as country HR leader
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with functional leaders to align HR priorities with business objectives.
- Provide strategic counsel on organization design, workforce planning, talent needs, and change management.
- Drive a high-performance, inclusive, and values-based culture.
Talent and Organization
- Partner with leaders to identify talent gaps and implement development actions.
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure timely and effective hiring.
- Champion employee development, learning, and career growth initiatives such as talent review, succession planning etc.
Employee Relations and Manager Support
- Serve as the primary advisor to managers on employee relations matters, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Manage sensitive workplace issues with sound judgment, consistency, and confidentiality.
- Support resolution of employee concerns, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement processes as appropriate.
HR Operations and Policy Execution
- Ensure consistent execution of core HR processes, programs, and annual cycles within the country.
- Implement enterprise HR policies, practices, and programs in accordance with local legal /compliance requirements.
- Partner with relevant teams on compensation, benefits, payroll inputs, and employee data management.
Employee Experience and Engagement
- Support engagement initiatives, communication efforts, and culture-building activities to foster a positive employee experience
- Embed employee feedback and HR metrics to identify trends and recommend actions for improvement.
- Promote inclusion, respect, and accountability in the workplace.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as the lead HR contact for the country organization.
- Collaborate with regional HR business partners, centers of excellence, and shared services teams to deliver integrated HR support.
- Lead, coach, and develop local HR team members where applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10 years+ of progressive HR experience across both strategic HR partnership and operational HR management
- Experience in supporting manufacturing operations in a global organization preferred
- Strong understanding of talent management and workforce planning, change management, compensation & benefits, and strategic & organizational capability development
- Strong knowledge of local employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing employee relations, talent management, and organizational change.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with leaders across multiple levels of the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with tough, confidential and sensitive matters
- Must be fluent in both oral and written English
