We are looking for an AI & Manufacturing Innovation Engineer with a strong technological and industrial mindset, who will lead the study, development and introduction of advanced robotics solutions, including Automated Assistants and AI, within our manufacturing plants.
The role will be central in transforming the company’s operating model toward a smart factory, also through Physical AI applications.
Responsabilità essenziali
Strategy and Innovation
- Define the roadmap for introducing AI and advanced robotics into industrial processes
- Identify high-impact use cases in areas such as quality, productivity, safety and cost savings
- Collaborate with HQ and technology partners for scouting and experimentation
Technology ImplementationLead projects related to:
- Advanced and collaborative robotics, including cobots, AMRs and automated assistants
- AI-based vision systems for automated quality control
- Machine Learning for predictive maintenance and process optimization
- Introduction of AI solutions into existing production systems
Industrialization
- Translate prototypes and Proofs of Concept into scalable production solutions
- Support Manufacturing Engineering and Operations in their adoption
- Ensure the robustness, safety and ROI of the implemented solutions
Governance & Capability Building
- Build internal capabilities in AI and robotics
- Define standards, guidelines and best practices
- Collaborate with IT/Data teams on infrastructure and data management
Requisiti di posizione
- Degree in Engineering, such as Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, Computer Science, AI or related fields
- PhD or specialized Master’s degree in AI / Robotics preferred
- 5–10 years of experience in advanced industrial automation, AI / Machine Learning projects applied to manufacturing and robotics — ideally also including automated assistants or mobile robotics
Technical Skills
- Robot programming, e.g. ROS, Python, C++
- AI / ML, including predictive models, computer vision and deep learning
- Industrial automation systems, including PLC, MES and IoT
- Knowledge of smart factory / Industry 4.0 concepts
Soft Skills
- Strategic vision, strong execution and structured problem solving
- Ability to influence industrial stakeholders, with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience with robots and advanced autonomous systems
- Automotive or manufacturing background
- Experience in industrial deployment, translating prototypes and Proofs of Concept into scalable solutions
We will offer a gross annual salary starting from € 56.000 based on actual professional experience, plus a production bonus, a variable incentive plan and a company welfare program.
