About the Role
Join Chelsea Shared Services as a Practice Representative supporting patients across a busy multiservice outpatient location.
You will be a welcoming first point of contact for patients while managing check-in, check-out, registration, scheduling, and other front-desk responsibilities. Because the location serves many Spanish-speaking patients, the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is important for this role.
Healthcare experience is welcome but not required. Candidates who are early in their careers and comfortable learning new systems are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner
Check patients in and out for appointments
Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and billing information
Collect required co-payments
Schedule and confirm appointments, mammograms, ultrasounds, laboratory services, and other follow-up care
Provide patients with preparation instructions and appointment information
Complete reminder and outreach calls
Take accurate information from patients and callers and route messages appropriately
Monitor the waiting area and help address patient-flow concerns
Prepare schedules, medical records, and other required documents
Confirm referrals, prior authorizations, and pre-certifications as needed
Complete required visit and billing documentation
Cross-train and provide front-desk coverage across services within the building

Assignments may vary based on patient and department needs.

Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred.
0-1 years related work experience required.
Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
Preferred Qualifications
One year experience in a healthcare or service/hospitality environment.
Pay Range:
$20.50 - $27.59The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
