JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the establishment, operation, and continuous development of the HDM Taiwan R&D Formulation Laboratory.
Drive formulation research, product development, and technical innovation in Polymeric Dielectric Coating Materials to support business growth and commercialization.
Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE), formulation studies, material characterization, and performance evaluations for polymeric dielectric coating materials and related electronic materials.
Lead technical projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with business objectives, product performance requirements, and project timelines.
Collaborate closely with global R&D teams to facilitate technology transfer, capability development, and successful project execution.
Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Application Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Product Stewardship & Regulatory (PS&R), Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams to drive the development, optimization, and commercialization of innovative polymeric dielectric coating materials and differentiated solutions.
Support customer projects through technical discussions, material evaluations, troubleshooting, and application-focused development activities.
Identify and introduce new technologies to strengthen competitive advantages and drive continuous improvement and business growth.
Develop and mentor laboratory personnel through technical leadership, coaching, training, and performance management.
Ensure excellence in laboratory operations, including safety, productivity, equipment management, intellectual property protection, regulatory compliance, and adherence to global EHS standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in electronic materials, semiconductor materials, specialty chemicals, polymeric dielectric coating materials, or related industries.
Proven experience in formulation development, product development, technology development, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
Strong hands-on experience in laboratory operations, material characterization, analytical testing, prototyping, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated success in leading technical projects, managing cross-functional teams, and developing technical talent.
Experience in laboratory setup, technology transfer, capability development, or commercialization of new technologies is preferred.
Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Highly adaptable, flexible, and open-minded, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment and respond to changing priorities.
Strong learning agility, with a self-driven and results-oriented approach to work.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a proven commitment to delivering business impact.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, with willingness to travel internationally as required.
