What you’ll be doing...

Verizon seeks a qualified E-Discovery team member to manage the day-to-day, end-to-end electronic discovery lifecycle in support of litigation, regulatory responses, and internal investigations. Acting as a vital bridge between the Legal Department, IT, and company counsel, this role ensures that Electronically Stored Information (ESI) is defensibly identified, preserved, collected, processed, and reviewed. The ideal candidate thrives on optimizing workflows through automation and the advanced use of AI (including Generative AI and predictive analytics), reducing external vendor spend, and navigating complex corporate data environments. This role is designed for a tech-forward professional who can leverage cutting-edge legal technology to drive efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating advanced, hands-on proficiency in platforms such as RelativityOne and Nuix

  • Administering end-to-end legal hold processes. Issue, track, and enforce legal hold notices corporation-wide using internal software. Identify key custodians and map corporate data sources relevant to new and ongoing litigation matters.

  • Conducting regular audits of active holds to ensure long-term preservation compliance.

  • Executing defensible data collections from diverse corporate repositories (e.g., Gmail, Drive, Slack, Meet) and mobile devices.

  • Deploying advanced AI-driven tools to optimize early case assessment, data filtering, and production workflows.

  • Running complex data productions, ensuring full compliance with matter- specific ESI protocols, formatting requirements, and quality control standards.

  • Serving as an internal subject matter expert (SME) advising outside counsel on the corporation’s data architecture and collection capabilities. Create and implement proposed AI and review strategies to ensure optimal use of predictive coding and LLM-driven workflows.

  • Monitoring and evaluating external vendor performance and billing, ensuring AI workflow integrations translate to meaningful reductions in total external spend.

  • Supervising end-to-end document reviews, managing workflows, quality control protocols, and reviewer productivity for internal teams and external vendor partners.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

  • E-Discovery experience, ideally split between a law firm/vendor and an in-house corporate legal department.

  • Experience with Relativity.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Demonstrated specialization in applying AI to litigation, including predictive coding, Continuous Active Learning (CAL), and Generative AI prompting.

  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS), Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), or coursework in Legal AI and Data Analytics.

  • Deep hands-on experience with the Google suite of corporate solutions (e.g., Gmail, Drive) and enterprise communication tools (e.g., Slack, Meet). Experience with AI features embedded within these corporate ecosystems.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex litigation matters under tight deadlines.  Must be a team player and able to work well cross functionally across Legal and other corporate functions.

  • Excellent ability to translate complex technical jargon and AI validation methods into clear, actionable legal language for stakeholders.

  • Strict adherence to confidentiality regarding sensitive corporate data, AI training sets, and internal investigations.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
