Main responsibility:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detailed oriented Supply Chain Planner Buyer to join our dynamic S&OE Americas team. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling the purchasing, production, and inventory control (P&IC) of material required for manufacturing or sale. Act as company’s key interface with individual suppliers and production floor in support of day-to-day operations. Manages the relationship with the assigned suppliers to achieve the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive supply chain plans and strategies to meet customer demands while optimizing costs and minimizing risks.
Plan the purchasing of assigned material and issue orders specifying all terms and conditions.
Monitor the delivery of all items and keep order dates accurate in the system by monitoring reports to react to past due supply chain orders; reschedule messages and realignment of orders.
Maintain accurate data within ERP planning system to ensure proper functionality.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather demand forecasts, analyze market trends, and translate them into actionable plans.
Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or excesses, and implement measures to maintain optimal stock levels.
Establish and maintain professional and ethical working relationships with suppliers (Internal and External) and work closely with them to ensure good communication and up-to-date data alignment regarding MOQ’s and Lead times for assigned materials.
Coordinate with suppliers (Internal and External) to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply-related issues.
Analyze supply chain data, such as lead times, transportation costs, and production capacities, to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Sets and maintains purchasing and planning parameter in ERP system to ensure data accuracy.
Implement and maintain supply chain metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers (Internal and External), and internal departments.
Prepare or assist in preparation of requests for proposals, solicit quotations, evaluate bids, negotiate price and terms with suppliers in support of company objectives.
Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulations affecting the supply chain field.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide input on strategic decisions related to supply chain planning and optimization.
Partner with S&OE Americas Manager, Head or Planning Americas and Procurement on special projects related to supplier scorecards, delivery performance, lead-time reduction and cost savings initiatives.
Execute strategies and tactics to achieve best total cost in regard to pricing, logistics, Inventory and product lifecycle management, revisions, and E&O cost.
Responsible for executing product/processing outsourcing projects and other tactical activities as assigned.
Qualifications & skills:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, engineering or related field is preferred.
3-5 years of supply chain planning experience.
Familiarity Six-Sigma, Kanban, 5S or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Computer skills: Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP (preferred) or equivalent ERP systems. SQL programming knowledge considered a plus
APICS Certifications considered a plus

The S&OE Americas team consists of seven bright and motivated members from the Production Planning, Intercompany Supply Planning, and External Supply Planning teams, who work closely together to ensure the effective execution of demand through production and supply, balancing customer requirements, capacity constraints, material availability, and inventory targets.
