Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Monitor production schedules, manage production budgets and scheduling personnel, and optimize resources to meet production targets.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, including supervisors and line workers.
- Foster a positive work culture, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Manage staffing levels and schedule employees to meet production demands.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate raw materials and supplies.
- Optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to streamline material flow.
- Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics.
- Maintain strict quality control standards and ensure products meet or exceed quality specifications.
- Address and resolve quality issues promptly to maintain product integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Plant Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
