Position Overview

This position is responsible for tasks involving sanitation, maintenance and the general condition of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, grade and process inbound and outbound wheat loads.
• Responsible for weekly master sanitation tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance duties around the mill/plant. Assisting maintenance personnel as needed.
• Routinely observe and make decisions to ensure the preservation of the physical facility, including all equipment, utilities, pumps, compressors, boilers, roofs, snow removal, landscaping etc.
• Conduct routine maintenance on the department equipment as scheduled, and maintain the area in a clean, sanitary condition.
• Actively maintaining a safety culture. Always thinking of personal safety and that of your team members. Serve on safety and food safety committees
• Operate various types of mobile equipment such as a forklift, cleaning and lifting devices.
• Maintain a good working knowledge and adherence to all food safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all tasks in a fashion that promotes the safety and quality of our products.
• Actively participate in all required food safety and quality related meetings and training events.
• Identify and report all food safety and quality issues to management immediately.
• Work hours will require all candidates to have flexible schedules for a rotating shift and projected overtime and perform job functions in the physical mill environment, in accordance with set work schedule

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience required preferably in Grain handling
