Description
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify, develop and maintain sales opportunities through the company and product knowledge, researching consumer needs, and identifying how our solutions can meet them. Predominantly in India, but there will be an expectation of leading multi-country deals across APAC and occasionally NORAM and EMEA.
- Represent Aurora across the industry, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
- Pitch our offerings and make proposals to existing and potential customers
- Negotiate and contract structured offers with C-suite decisions makers from some of the largest companies in India
- Use Salesforce CRM to ensure standard processes during all sales stages
- Contribute to new product development and improving our existing offerings
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management — with a demonstrable track record of closing complex, high-value deals
- Strong commercial mindset, including creativity and intuition for opportunities that create impact and commercial success
- Experience selling into senior stakeholders (C-suite, investment committees, board level) in competitive environments
- Strong organizational discipline and a high degree of self-direction; this role requires someone who leads themselves as much as they are led
- Motivated by achieving tangible individual and team commercial targets
- Exceptional communication skills — written, verbal, and in the room — with the confidence to challenge, advise, and build trust at a senior level
- Evidence of strong performance in team-oriented environments
- Intellectual curiosity combined with an eagerness to learn about the energy transition, Aurora, Aurora’s clients and how we can support them
- Experience in business development, account management or client success within the energy sector
- Experience selling research or some form of subscription service
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system
- Previous professional exposure to energy economics, power markets and power networks would be an advantage
