Sales Specialist – Ethicon Biosurgery

Role Overview:

The role will be responsible for selling the Biosurgery range of Hemostatic products in assigned territory. He / She would also be responsible for establishing the Biosurgery portfolio of Products as the preferred choice of adjunctive hemostats in assigned territory by highlighting Importance of bleeding management, quality, and clinical advantage. The work will involve close coordination with larger team of account managers & supervisors. The role also involves management of existing KOLs and active inclusion of new KOLs to shape the hemostat market and thereby increasing the access, adoption, and affinity to Biosurgery portfolio products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell the Ethicon range of Biosurgery Products using a strategic sales deployment mindset

  • Provide weekly and monthly sales action plan to line manager, reflecting the activities required in each account to achieve sales objectives.

  • Analyze sales reports to find opportunities, recognize routine problems; analyze causes and recommend solutions

  • Negotiate and close sales in routine situations, and with guidance when handling more complex deals

  • Take Ownership for account management and have total visibility of account sales across ETHICON.

  • Collaborate with other specialist sales resource and commercial resource to deliver coordinated account management approach.

  • Leadership of, and assistance with, customer training activities, e.g. Centre’s of Excellence, Preceptorships, In-services, etc.

  • Partnering with the Professional Education Managers of Global Surgery to develop and maintain associated KOL relationships as well as championing the effective use of our comprehensive Professional Education Offering.

  • Working with the ETHICON marketing team to provide product management assistance and feedback as required.

  • Collaboration with others (Business Managers, Commercial team, Marketing) etc.

  • Identification and communication of timely and accurate market intelligence on key accounts.

  • Keeping up to date on changing healthcare dynamics and trends on a national basis within the surgical market, and provide timely updates to Marketing Management, so that strategies can be developed and modified accordingly.

To be part of this high performing team you will have great attention to detail, have strong verbal and written communication skill with an ability to confidently present complex information alongside

  • A proven track record of high achievement and success.

  • 3-5 Sales or new business development experience and high achievement in medical devices/pharmaceuticals in secondary care would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be confident, ambitious, highly competitive yet customer centric, a good negotiator. Successful candidates will also have a strong affinity for working closely with others in a team and will show entrepreneurial behaviour. In addition, the ability to build strategic partnerships with key customers is essential.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€55.500,00 - €88.205,00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
