Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a world leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of focal plane arrays and flight-based vision systems. Our innovative solutions are at the forefront of advanced technology, supporting critical applications in aerospace and defense. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Engineer to join our team in Goleta, CA, to drive continuous improvement in the operational planning and manufacturing of our world-class focal plane fabrication and assembly processes.

As an Industrial Engineer at RVS, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics, capacity planning, and process optimization to drive continuous improvement across our semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will play a critical role in analyzing production data, automating workflows, and creating predictive models to achieve operational excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the automation and maintenance of IE Sales and Operational Planning models to improve data accuracy and efficiency in decisionmaking processes.
  • Update workcellspecific data models used to assess equipment and labor capacity.
  • Use discrete event simulation tools to analyze resource utilization, identify potential bottlenecks, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Perform scenario-based analyses to support improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to clearly communicate analysis results to stakeholders.
  • Collect and organize data from various sources, including ERP systems, IoT devices, and data marts, to help develop real-time process models.
  • Maintain and update factory workcell layouts based on Continuous Improvement (CI) principles, supporting the overall S&OP factory site plan.
  • Participate in Factory Lean Transformation activities such as 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban implementation, and pull system supermarkets.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in Industrial, Manufacturing, and/or Mechanical Engineering .

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiarity with semiconductor processing equipment, methods, and processes.
  • Hands-on experience working in cleanroom environments (Class 5).
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP & Eyelit experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency in 2D drafting software (AutoCAD LT experience is preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with microscopes and common inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge of program lifecycles from conceptual phases through early production builds.
  • Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma principles in process improvement activities (formal certification is a plus).
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365 tools, with experience extracting and manipulating data efficiently (Project and Visio are a plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a teamoriented environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Governmentissued security clearance

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
