Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
1. Agents Management:
• Manage agents on a daily basis to ensure delivery consistent to business strategy and compliance with their contract.
• Review, analyse and propose corrective actions for Commercial A&P and A&D budget, as well as RF forecast proposed by the agents, in line with GTR guidelines.
• Manage key projects assigned to the agents and monitor progress & delivery
2. Customer Management:
• In conjunction with agents, actively participate in all key customer meetings and make proposals to line manager on next steps, supported by data and insight to accelerate decision making
• Provide regular customer-related updates
• Represent Pernod Ricard on all customer projects including tenders and concessions work. Propose recommendations on space, terms and visibility, based on agents’ insight as well as PR key battleground and ambitions in Korea TR.
3. Retail Excellence:
• Monitor merchandising materials and visibility in stores to ensure it is respecting brand guidelines and providing maximum stand out
• Provide inputs and relay key information on quality merchandising investment to improve product sell-through and pro-actively seek “white spaces”.
• Act as the key liaison between the GTR marketing team and agents, overseeing all trade marketing activities across brands
• Build and cultivate sustained relationships with store managers of key outlets in order to improve specific brand/SKU listing target, product positioning, pricing guidelines and trade marketing promotions
4. Promotion Management:
• Work closely with agents to execute In-Market promotion activities effectively and in line with brand guidelines
• Collect customer feedback, conduct pre-and post-promotional campaign analysis in collaboration with finance and marketing teams to understand market dynamics
• Pro-actively and continuously suggest solutions and ideas to optimize Promotion ROI based on learnings.
5. Brand Consultants Management:
• Appoint and manage the Brand Consultants payroll agency to ensure efficient and effective work and regular KPI reporting to drive constant improvement
• Work with agents to manage effectively part-time and full-time contracted brand consultants
• Coordinate product training for brand consultants on a regular basis (new products or packaging / promotional programs / refresher courses)
• Define an effective mechanism for brand consultants with agents on price audit, stock checking, depletion and out-of-stock monitoring at store level and promptly report other essential information (new products, competition, pricing audit, competitive activities etc).
6. Competition Analysis:
• Conduct merchandising evaluation against competitor activities to keep up with market trend evolution
• Track and monitor competitor depletions, performance, initiatives and provide periodic analysis of customer profiles. Generate insight / ideas and share with GTR team
7. Budget / forecasting / agent target:
• Contribute in collaboration with marketing team to create an optimized A&P budget based on market trend as well as key priorities, leveraging recommendations from agents. Conduct regular adjustments and make suggestions on arbitration between projects based on data driven insight.
• Monitor A&D budget in coordination with Finance team
• Act as main driver for monthly S&OP process through agents. Pro-actively propose solutions to ensure business stays on track and shipments can meet expectations
• Lead the yearly negotiation with agents on their target
8. Other ad-hoc reports and analysis as assigned
• Represent Korea DF at monthly commercial meeting and prepare regular performance updates, market updates, opportunities and challenges
• Represent the business as the Korea DF expert on all related project teams, functional meetings and initiatives
• Support to the Asia Ex China team by handling ad-hoc requests, generating reports, and conducting analysis as directed by the line manager.
Key Relationships:
• Internal: Line manager, Asia ex China team members, GTR Asia Marketing, finance team and Supply Chain teams, Pernod Ricard Korea, GTR Central Marketing team
• External: Korea agents, Brand consultant agency, customers, vendors
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in sales and retail business, ideally with previous experience in Wine & Spirits/ Travel Retail/ FMCG & Luxury industry
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Strong agility and adaptability in ambiguity and difficult business environment
• Demonstrated experience in team collaboration in a multicultural environment
• Excellent communication skills in English and Korean (written and verbal)
• Willing to travel domestically in Korea or internationally when needed
