Description
This is a Vice President Department Manager position at the P5 job level within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project efforts including:
o Team Manager for both the on and offshore teams that are responsible for all WM Income events (20 onshore resources and 9 offshore)
o Team management includes people, process and technology related to all income event types impacting the WM platform
o RTB responsibilities for all income events, for all steps in the corporate action event lifecycle (announcement validation, FA/client notifications, elections/preferences, payments and reconciliations)
o Responsible for the service function for the Morgan Stanley, E*Trade and Advisory client channels
o Driving AI and automation adoption and implementation across the teams
o Engage with fleet product owners on the development and roll out of the strategic proprietary asset servicing technology roadmap
o Engage in design and roll out of all new processes and controls related to new markets, products, etc.
> Lead in process re-engineering, improvement, automation, project management and testing across multiple teams, while continually ensuring that a high standard of governance remains in place.
> Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution
> Provide broad product experience to support the resolution of complex issues, and function as a senior point of escalation.
> Directly contribute to the operation and delivery of risk and control processes. Ensure that risks detected across the control framework are mitigated, that Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) are managed and issues appropriately escalated.
> Apply hands on experience from prior roles within a regulated financial institution to shape operating models, controls, and scalability.
> Stay current with industry trends, including digital assets, extended trading, embedding AI into daily processes > Strong leadership presence, culture carrier and role model, representing and leading the Firm's core values to influence and motivate those around you
> Proven track record leading complex, cross functional programs with senior level exposure.
> Broad experience in Financial Services Operations with a comprehensive understanding of front to back trade flow and post trade processing.
> Experience in automating operational processes leveraging transformation tools such as Power Automate, Alteryx, Power BI, UiPath
> Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to manage multiple workstreams, and to prioritize effectively
> Experience collaborating with Sales, Advisors, Legal, Risk, Compliance and a diverse range of stakeholders.
> Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks and operational impacts.
> Ability to address non-standard issues within area of expertise
> At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
> Series 99 license required or willing to obtain within 180 days of employment

Salary range for the position: $125,000.00 - $205,000.00/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
