Job Title: Storeroom Coordinator
Shift: Days
Location: Mars – Topeka

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate storeroom window operations, cycle counts, inventory reduction, parts retrieval, and parts kitting
- Direct MRO storeroom attendants
- Add new parts to stock provided by maintenance planners
- Understand principles of inventory control and budget expectations
- Take corrective action when problem solving (to root cause level) to resolve discrepancies of inventory and other key issues
- Support sourcing of failed parts from alternative vendors
- Arrange for emergency pick-up and delivery for urgent parts
- Resolve discrepancies with purchase orders and services tracking among Receiving, Accounting, and vendors
- Advise maintenance leadership of high usage of parts and supplies to identify potential equipment problems and/or stock-outs
- Develop total productive maintenance (TPM) storeroom area owner and attend monthly Communities of Practice (CoP) meetings
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting on maintenance storeroom operations to reliability engineers and plant technical manager
- Attend daily maintenance meeting (Daily Connection Point) and report parts-related issues
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement storeroom strategies that will bring highest return on investment, improve competitive position, and achieve site objectives
- Ensure all parts meet current specifications and are issued in a First-In/First-Out system
- Coordinate daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency
- Review Re-Order Report for accuracy of inventory levels
- Order storeroom parts and update/maintain item history, vendors, and quality information
- Maintain repairable assembly inventory (rebuilds)
- Limit storeroom access to ensure parts availability and proper inventory control practices
- Ensure visual workplace (5S) standards are followed to ensure proper housekeeping

Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer skills (SAP, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power point, e-mail, internet, etc.)
- Proficiency in action-orientation (self-motivator)
- High proficiency in oral and written communication skills to establish relationships with internal/external customers and vendors
- Proficiency in understanding maintenance budgets, cost estimating, and value creation
- 3 years of experience in SAP
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Have full mobility with ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to lift 25 lb several times per day
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of maintenance storeroom experience (1 year of internal experience)
- 5 years of experience in SAP, specifically dealing with inventory, material parts data, and storeroom transactions
- 1–3 years of experience in a TPM manufacturing environment
- Advanced computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Foundational knowledge of quality & food safety in a manufacturing environment
- Foundational knowledge of workplace safety in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to tolerate an ambiguous environment
