The Job
The Kids & Animation Digital Content Intern will support the Kids & Animation Content team in the execution of digital content initiatives across Warner Bros. Discovery’s Kids & Animation YouTube channels. This role is designed for a student passionate about entertainment, digital media, storytelling, and animation who is eager to gain hands-on experience in content management, audience insights, digital trends, and cross-functional collaboration.
The intern will oversee channel maintenance and housekeeping and will contribute to projects that help enhance the visibility, engagement, and performance of Kids content across digital platforms while developing valuable skills within a leading global media company.
The Daily – Major Activities
Content Optimization and Channel Maintenance (35%)
• Assist in the planning, organization, and tracking of digital content initiatives for Kids brands.
• Support content uploads, metadata updates, asset management, and content organization across digital platforms.
• Review our YouTube library to make sure metadata continues to be relevant, accurate and updated.
Catalogue Auditing (25%)
• Review our YouTube library to identify titles that may have expired or are about to expire, create a strategy to remove expired content and assess impact.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations for the Kids & Animation Content team.
Creative & Editorial Support (20%)
• Collaborate in researching content trends, emerging digital formats, and audience preferences in the kids and animation segment.
• Support the development of presentations, creative briefs, and content proposals.
• Assist in reviewing digital assets for quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
Cross-functional Collaboration (10%)
• Work closely with Programming, Marketing, Social Media, Product, and Creative teams to support content initiatives.
• Participate in team meetings and help track action items and follow-ups.
Administrative & Team Support (10%)
• Maintain databases, trackers, and documentation related to content projects.
• Provide general operational support to the Kids & Animation Content team as needed.
The Essentials
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, Journalism, Digital Content, Audiovisual Production, or a related field.
• Strong interest in animation, streaming platforms, digital media, and content creation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proactive mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
The Nice to Haves
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content ecosystems.
• Basic understanding of content analytics and audience metrics.
• Experience creating content for digital or social platforms (academic or personal projects).
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar creative tools.
• Passion for animation, cartoons, family entertainment, and emerging digital trends.
