Job Description
An 80-year group, COBRA promotes its own efficient business model, the result of the combination of decentralization, geographical diversification and technical specialization of more than 20,000 professionals in more than 43 countries. In this way, it offers a wide range of services throughout the value chain of projects, adapted to each sector and to the scope of the contract required by our clients, both public and private. Cobra is divided into four main sectors of activity, Networks, Specialised installations, integrated projects and concession assets.
ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project will build new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers. The new infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2028 and will initially unlock up to 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity.
The Central-West Orana project is currently seeking dedicated Senior Interface Engineer – TransGrid and Mines share their expertise within our growing delivery Team
Key Responsibilities
Lead third party interfaces with TransGrid, Mines, and Power Generators relationships through the delivery of the Project.
Contribute to the management of requirements of third-party agreements and reporting tools to exhibit compliance. Management and tracking compliance with these requirements through Project Delivery gates (Design to Commissioning) is a key deliverable.
Assist in the development of an overall Interface Management Plan which includes Sub Plans for each Key Stakeholder
Contribute to the project progress monitoring throughout the project
Provide input and develop solutions which aim to minimise impact to third parties, whilst maintaining commercially effective project delivery
Maintain effective relationships with third parties to avoid disputes and commercial compensation claims including meeting regularly with Key Stakeholders
Develop correspondence for third parties and end-client as required as well as capturing meeting minutes with each third party
Produce and maintain appropriate, standardized documents and regular reporting to Energy Co, Network Operator Management and other stakeholders reflecting key issues, resolutions, and performance to enable them to effectively understand risks and impacts to the project
Contribute to a collaborative approach within the team to facilitate the planning and delivery of interface works, ensuring all issues are clearly understood by teams and addressed, and appropriate interventions developed and implemented.
Travelling to site approximately once per month is required to attend meetings with third parties.
Required Skills and Competencies
TransGrid experience is essential.
Engineering degree qualified (or equivalent) .
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with team members and external stakeholders.
Minimum of 10 years Engineering experience, interface experience preferred.
Technical knowledge in Electrical infrastructure.
Clear communicator of scope, presenting project compliance across diverse teams and levels.
