    About the Role

The Consumer Sciences & Product Intelligence (CSPI) team plays a critical role in ensuring Haleon remains consumer-first in everything we do. By integrating consumer understanding, product intelligence, market insights, and innovation validation, the team helps shape products that win at the point of purchase and deliver superior experiences throughout product use.

The Consumer Sciences & Product Intelligence Director is a strategic leadership role within Haleon's Global Wellness R&D organization. As a member of both the Wellness R&D Leadership Team and the Global CSPI Leadership Team, this individual will lead the development and execution of consumer science and product intelligence strategies across the Wellness portfolio. The role is responsible for translating consumer understanding into actionable business insights, guiding innovation and portfolio decisions, and ensuring products are developed with meaningful and noticeable consumer superiority in mind. The position also provides leadership to a globally distributed team of CSPI professionals while partnering across R&D, Commercial, Marketing, Consumer & Business Insights, and Operational Units worldwide.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the Consumer First strategy for the Wellness category, ensuring consumer needs, insights, and experiences are integrated throughout the innovation lifecycle.
    • Deliver consumer science activities across the stage-gate innovation process, including consumer ethnography, product evaluation, prototype validation, claims support, and post-launch assessment.
    • Drive product intelligence capabilities, systematically monitoring market dynamics, consumer behaviors, competitive products, and emerging trends to inform innovation and portfolio strategy.
    • Translate consumer insights into actionable recommendations that influence product development, portfolio optimization, and commercial decision-making.
    • Establish and maintain robust testing methodologies, consumer research processes, and product validation frameworks to support innovation excellence.
    • Integrate multiple data sources, including consumer research, product intelligence, consumer complaints, competitive intelligence, and market signals, into a unified view of category opportunities and risks.
    • Lead prioritization of CSPI resources across the Wellness portfolio, focusing investment and effort on the highest-impact opportunities.
    • Manage a globally distributed team, fostering engagement, talent development, performance, and career growth. The team currently spans North America, Asia, and other global markets.
    • Partner closely with R&D, Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operational Units, and external partners to ensure consumer insights drive meaningful business outcomes.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship across the Wellness and Global CSPI organizations while helping establish future capability within the growing Wellness category.
