Job Purpose
Supports the Facilities Supervisor in ensuring the effective and efficient management of the maintenance operations within the organisation.Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and RepairCarry out standard maintenance and repair activities under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions.
Equipment Installation
Help to install complex systems and conduct inspections of equipment with guidance.
Site Maintenance
Support others by performing a range of site maintenance activities.
Quality
Carry out relatively simple testing and quality assurance tasks.
Operational Compliance
Develop working knowledge of the organisation's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.
Health, Safety and Environment
Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
Work Scheduling and Allocation
Organise own work schedule in order to get the job done, coordinating with support services and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary.
Facilities
Support others by performing a range of facilities management activities.
Administration
Conduct data entry into company systems, and review and verify the information to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Education
Matric / Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited (Essential); Relevant certification in health and safety (Advantageous)Experience
