Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage, support, and enhance the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of network services while supporting both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement new technologies, drive network improvements, and maintain a secure, reliable networking environment.

Responsibilities

Network Operation & Support

  • Provide day-to-day BAU support for enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and health to ensure reliable operations.
  • Respond to and resolve network incidents, service requests, and escalations within agreed service levels.
  • Provide standby support for critical network-related issues when required.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and service disruption.
  • Maintain network inventory, documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration records.

Network Infrastructure & Engineering 

  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Perform system upgrades, including firmware updates, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
  • Implement automation and innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with configuration and change management processes.
  • Manage network assets, including wall-to-wall asset verification and inventory updates.

Project Delivery 

  • Support and deliver network infrastructure projects assigned by management.
  • Participate in network equipment procurement and coordinate with subcontractors during implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure successful implementation of new network technologies and infrastructure enhancements.

Governance, Security & Compliance 

  • Support audit activities by providing required documentation and technical artifacts.
  • Maintain and update network security policies, standards, baselines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies, security standards, and governance requirements.
  • Stay up to date with emerging networking technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Requirements 

Education & Certifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • CCNP certification preferred. CCIE is highly advantageous.
  • Network+, CISSP, or equivalent certifications are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering or network administration.
  • Experience managing enterprise network and security infrastructure.
  • Experience delivering network implementation and infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with network documentation, asset management, and configuration management.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, proxies, load balancers, and Network Access Control (NAC).
  • Experience with Alcatel switches, Aruba Wireless Controllers, Aruba ClearPass, Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 VPN, Alteon Load Balancers, and RSA authentication.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, VXLAN, and cloud networking (AWS is an advantage).
  • Experience with network monitoring, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and change management.
  • Familiarity with network documentation, asset management, and configuration management.
