Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of all engineering documentation including but not limited to the following documents: functional design specifications, cable block diagrams, I/O lists, instrumentation calculations, P&ID’s, control narratives, system architecture drawings, system cabinet layout, wiring and power distribution drawings.
• Ensure systems engineering and design deliverables are developed and issued in accordance with project schedule and procedures.
• Implementation of major software application packages.
• Apply company and project procedures and ensure engineering and design compliance.
• Assist the PM to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Compiling of FAT and SAT documentation as well as “End of Job” Documentation.
• Present training on systems from time to time as required.
• Stay abreast of strategic and engineering solution developments on Yokogawa products.
• Understanding of competitors and associated products.
• Stay abreast of latest technology developments and improvements in the engineering industry.
• Work closely with other engineers, exchanging engineering information.
• Support the Project Manager / Departmental Manager in technical issues.
• Assist the Sales team with the production of technically and commercially acceptable proposals, tender documents and bid submissions by checking and agreeing to key elements affecting engineering execution.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced engineers within personal areas of expertise.
• Compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all engineering activities.
• Conducting work in accordance with company safety and quality policies and procedures
