Role Overview
We are looking for a Financial Permanent Control Analyst to join an international banking environment in Lisbon.
As part of the second line of defence, you will play an important role in ensuring the reliability of financial information, strengthening financial controls and supporting continuous improvement across Finance activities.
Working closely with colleagues in Paris and other international locations, you will contribute to a robust financial control framework and help maintain high standards of financial data quality.
Key Responsibilities
Perform independent controls over financial, accounting and regulatory information.
Monitor quarterly financial closing activities and identify potential inconsistencies or control weaknesses.
Review complex control activities and provide guidance to junior team members.
Contribute to the enhancement and automation of financial control processes.
Collaborate with international Finance teams to support data quality, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit or a related field, with knowledge of banking accounting
Fluency in French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
At least one year of experience in financial audit, financial control or a comparable function.
Knowledge of IFRS 9, banking accounting, accounting production and financial reporting processes.
Strong analytical skills, autonomy, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with international stakeholders.
Availability to occasional travel
Must be based in Portugal (mandatory)
