Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Office Assistant, you will drive operational efficiency by managing communications, streamlining patient data flow, and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of reports. This role is instrumental in supporting our clinical team and directly impacts patient care quality within our dynamic healthcare environment. Every day you will field incoming calls with exceptional customer service skills. You will facilitate the streamlined operation of the office, managing diverse administrative functions and cultivating effective internal and external communication networks.To be successful in this role, you will have a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to anticipating needs and delivering accurate, timely support.
- Knowledge of correct English usage including spelling, grammar, and punctuation, medical terminology, computer operations. office practices and procedures, effective customer relations, HMO's, IPA's and insurance authorization procedures.
- Federal and State regulations pertaining to MediCal/Medi Care.
- Ability to perform a variety of clerical work, following oral and written directions.
- Contact, review, obtain, insurance authorization.
- Type on personal computers using word processing software.
- Prepare and maintain accurate files and records;

- Clerical experience in a medical or insurance setting utilizing medical terminology or any combination of education and experience.
