Job Description:

Position Summary:

As a Machine Maintenance Technician II, you will play a critical role in our organization by ensuring the proper functioning, reliability, and longevity of Astemo's machinery and equipment. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs in order to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency and quality. This role will be focused within the new IPM Department on 2nd Shift.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of machines and equipment, according to maintenance schedules and guidelines
• Replace or repair defective parts such as; belts, bearings, motors, or sensors
• Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical problems or abnormalities in the machines
• Collaborate with team members and team leads to analyze and resolve complex technical problems
• Calibrate and align machinery to ensure optimal performance and accuracy
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with the machinery, as well as comply with industry regulations and standards to ensure equipment is operating within legal and safety parameters
• Provide technical support to production teams to minimize operational disruptions

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years work-related experience.
• Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
• Knowledge of both high and low voltages AC & DC

Preferred Qualifications:

• PLC troubleshooting experience
• Robot teaching and programming experience

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to promote and carry out the Astemo philosophy
• Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercises good judgement and be highly motivated
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy
• Maintains clean and orderly work environment

Safety and Environmental Management:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations. Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 environmental management standards.

Software:

• Basic experience required in Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet
• Intermediate experience in Glovia

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
• Full Motor Skills
• Follow all Astemo safety guidelines
• Follow all company regulations related to manufacturing process and quality
