Job Description

THE ROLE:

The Producer, Streaming Monetization is a temporary position that owns the day-to-day publishing and programming performance for assigned owned and operated TVE and DTC SVOD sites and apps, including audience engagement, content discoverability, viewing performance and key business KPIs.  This also includes monitoring and optimizing performance against engagement, viewing and subscriber-related KPIs.  Producers will partner with multiple teams to align daily execution with audience engagement and business priorities. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills to support multiple brands and products. Producers may assist in overseeing the work of more junior team members. Success in this role is measured through improvements in audience engagement, content discoverability, viewing performance and executional excellence across assigned products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Production:

  • Gather assets and use CMS to launch, maintain, schedule and optimize O&O TVE apps, O&O DTC SVOD apps and brand websites with support from junior producers.
  • Conduct post-publish checks to confirm content displays as intended across key surfaces (apps/sites) and correct issues quickly.
  • Run recurring audits and coordinate issue resolution across stakeholders to maintain high-quality user experiences.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to workflows, tools and processes.

Content Strategy:

  • Develop deep expertise on assigned products and their audience behaviors to inform programming decisions, content prioritization and performance optimization.
  • Coordinate with Scheduling, Marketing and Product teams to execute publishing schedules and tactics aligned with business priorities.
  • Monitor and analyze app and site performance to inform strategic decisions, optimize audience engagement and drive viewing or deepen engagement.
  • Translate audience behavior and content performance insights into programming hypotheses, optimization plans and testable recommendations—adjusting content strategy where needed.
  • Monitor pop culture and emerging trends to identify timely curation opportunities; partner with Scheduling to execute rapid app updates that align with audience interest and programming.
  • Translate performance into action: share recurring insights (what’s working/not, what changed) with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product and other Digital Producers to run A/B tests and document outcomes and next steps.
  • Use AI regularly to find more efficient ways of working, discover new ideas to test, polish communications, learn about competitors and relevant tools, etc.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Make recommendations to improve product features or marketing tactics.
  • Troubleshoot sites and apps, partnering with the Product and Development teams to create better solutions.
  • Partner with Marketing and Scheduling to ensure priority shows are supported with the right tactics, timing and assets.
  • Provides guidance, quality control and mentorship to junior Producers and coordinators as needed.
  • Support promotional and merchandising initiatives designed to drive viewing, subscription and sponsorship objectives.

Revenue and Sales Support:

  • Partner with Sales to develop and execute sponsorship packages on owned and operated digital platforms.
  • QA sponsored experiences pre-launch and throughout flight to ensure presentation and functionality remain correct.

Content Creation:

  • Occasionally help develop ancillary content and experiences to support Programming and Marketing; proactively identify opportunities.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

    • 4+ years in streaming media or digital media
    • Experience supporting AVOD, TVE, FAST, DTC SVOD or streaming video products.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan video content schedules and curate video content (e.g. playlists) based on consumption patterns.
    • Familiarity with a variety of streaming media platforms and how they promote content.
    • Experience with project management/organization systems like Airtable, Jira, etc.
    • Experience interpreting test results and making optimization recommendations.
    • Proficient with at least one CMS (WordPress, Contentful, Drupal, etc.)
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
