Description

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale managed network, SD-WAN, SASE, cloud networking, and security transformation engagements.

  • Serve as the primary executive stakeholder for clients, ensuring successful delivery outcomes, governance, and commercial performance.

  • Drive high-performing delivery teams across architecture, engineering, operations, and managed services functions.

  • Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, or Perth.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engagement Delivery Lead to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale managed network and transformation programs. This role combines client leadership, service delivery, commercial management, and operational oversight to ensure exceptional outcomes across complex enterprise environments.

You will act as the senior point of accountability for program delivery, leading multidisciplinary teams while building strong relationships with executive stakeholders. The role requires a balance of technical understanding, commercial acumen, leadership capability, and a strong focus on client success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of managed network and transformation engagements across SD-WAN, SASE, cloud networking, and managed security services.

  • Serve as the primary client contact for executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives, scope, milestones, and outcomes.

  • Provide leadership and direction to architects, engineers, operations teams, and delivery managers.

  • Establish and maintain engagement governance, including delivery reviews, executive reporting, risk management, and escalation management.

  • Oversee transition, transformation, and managed services operations to ensure seamless service delivery and continuity.

  • Manage commercial performance, including scope control, contract compliance, SLA attainment, financial performance, and profitability.

  • Drive service quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives across the engagement.

  • Partner with sales and account teams to support renewals, growth opportunities, and strategic account planning.

  • Develop delivery standards, operational frameworks, and governance processes to support scalable service delivery.

  • Lead workforce planning, capability development, succession planning, and team engagement initiatives.

Required Experience / Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience leading large-scale network, infrastructure, or managed services engagements.

  • Proven track record managing enterprise transformation programs and managed service delivery environments.

  • Strong understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, cloud networking, network security, and managed operations.

  • Experience leading geographically distributed and cross-functional delivery teams.

  • Demonstrated success managing executive-level client relationships and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong commercial management experience, including P&L responsibility, contract management, SLA governance, and risk management.

  • Experience leading transition and transformation programs from solution design through operational support.

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL service management principles and operational governance frameworks.

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to executive and board-level stakeholders.

Preferred Experience / Qualifications

Leadership & Service Management Certifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Practitioner

  • ITIL v4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Experience delivering large-scale managed network and security services within enterprise or government environments.

  • Understanding of managed security operations, SIEM platforms, threat management, and security frameworks including ISO 27001 and NIST.

  • Experience supporting SD-WAN and SASE platforms such as Fortinet, Palo Alto Prisma, Netskope, and Cisco SD-WAN.

  • Experience leading global delivery models across onshore, offshore, and hybrid teams.

  • Existing Australian security clearance highly regarded.

  • Experience supporting complex cloud networking environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
